Climatologist Jack Hall predicted the coming of another ice age, but never realized it would happen during his lifetime. When a sudden shift in global weather unleashes disastrous floods, hail, tornado and deadly freezing weather on the planet, Hall is the only person who can save the millions in danger of freezing to death. He has to convince goverment officials to evacuate the country and then trek through grave danger to save his son in New York.
